Black Sea Seismicity Monitoring and Early Warning systems Alignment plan elaboration
Based on the findings of each national assessment and using the discussions developed during the Regional Workshop, common needs where addressed by the two experts that worked for 2 month to define the “Black Sea Seismicity Monitoring and Early Warning Systems Alignment Plan”. The Plan was completed after the workshop by contribution from all partners.
Official letters sent to national and local authorities in the Black sea region
The Network Agreement document was drafted in the Inaugural Meeting – Varna,(September 2012) soon after sent to all the future Network members for study, revised and finalized during the interval September-October as was planned. One of the planned modern tools for sharing information and expertise for the project was developed. It is a web portal working in four languages which will ensure the increased cooperation between relevant actors in the participating countries. The web-portal can be found at www.blacksea-esnet.eu
Black Sea Joint Seismicity Monitoring and Early Warning System Basis
This software was developed by a company contracted by the Applicant. All partners were participating in testing the software. The Black Sea Joint Seismicity Monitoring and Early Warning System Basis, developed by the Romanian partner consists from a software for PC and smart phones for keeping track of seismic events and their characteristics in real time and early warning for strong earthquakes. For the moment is getting input only from Romanian seismic events but partners are determined to link it also to the other seismic sources from partner countries.
Black Sea Safety Net(work) Communication Tool (e-group)
This e-communication tool was developed by a company sub-contracted by the IPA Lead Beneficiary and will enable direct and secure communication between the network members. All partners participate in testing the tool. www.esnet-egroup.eu/
